Air Ambulance were certainly on a high after receiving a donation from New Greens Club of £1172 from funds raised directly from a Charity Darts Tournament.
The event which took place at New Greens club in memory of Paul Stevens who was a well known player in St Albans darts circles, took place on 5th Oct and attracted a large turn out to compete for the ‘2019 Paul Stevens Memorial Trophy’ with runner up prizes
After many enthusiastically fought rounds the eventual overall winners were Dean Jones & Kieran Bricknall, with Sue Smith & Derek Ralph runners up.
The Cup presentation was made by Paul’s sister Heather Reynolds.
The club envisage future annual memorial darts events with proceeds donated to Air Ambulance, a publicly funded charity service.
The day concluded with an evening Disco, refreshments and raffle.
Big thanks to all that contributed to this amazing charity result with particular thanks to Club Officials Barry Fitzgerald, Debbie Jennings, Janice Wells and the rest on the clubs management team for organising and making this special occasion such a huge success!
